The Great Grand Master who was born in 1886 with the name Lim Ah Hong and Lim Din Pah, belonged to the Hok Kien Hui An Clan. He went to Singapore with his brother from China when he was still young. After the death of his brother, he went back to China where he became a monk at the age of 13 under Reverend Wei Jia. As he had an irrepressible urge to travel, the Patriach journeyed to china for a period of 6 years, during witch time he studied Buddhism for Master Ching Liang, and Buddhism and Chinese medicine form Master Chee Leow at the Cheng Tai Mountain. He then joined the Chek Chiang Nan Hai Pooin Chee Temple where he was taught Chinese Martial Arts by Master Hui Cheng.
